Switches and Tool Placement Tips and Tricks

I enjoy presenting for the following reasons;

• I enjoy sharing tips, tricks, knowledge and methodology,

• I am always fascinated to hear how other analysts get the same task done using different tools or methods

• I don’t present all the time.

Not only is understanding how switches operate and behave very important, but knowing your tool’s limitation is even more critical.

To this day I still hear a lot of confusion surrounding topics like taps, span ports, hubs and the implications of using your day to day computer as a tool.
