Updated: Apr 29, 2020

The ISACA Middle Tennessee Chapter would like to invite you to our "FREE"virtual chapter event on May 1, 2020. Event Description: - Click Here for more informstion! While we’re all on lockdown and self-quarantining, it’s clear that crooks, scammers, and cyber criminals of all ilks are working even harder than ever before to compromise victims. In an April 16, 2020 online panel hosted by the Aspen Institute, FBI Deputy Assistant Director Tonya Ugoretz said the number of reports to the FBI via the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) has quadrupled during the COVID-19 pandemic. Cyber attackers are leveraging Business Email Compromise (BEC) scams, ransomware, Trojan Horse-like “free VPN” software, and fraudulent websites to target new victims, millions of whom are working from home now for the first time.

This highlights the need for business leaders and IT audit to continue to enhance and monitor newly created processes , yet still allow exceptions to enable a mobile remote work force. Please join our moderator Scott Augenbaum, former FBI SSA with the Memphis FBI Cyber Crimes unit and best-selling author/speaker and our distinguished panel as they discuss threats and solutions in this new environment. Collectively, they represent nearly 100 years of experience in IT audit, cyber security, law enforcement, and client consulting in industries as varied as healthcare, finance, manufacturing, retail, legal, government, and businesses of all sizes.

They are ready to talk about today’s teleworking challenges for businesses, their employees, and the IT, cyber security, and audit teams who are supporting them. You won’t want to miss it – please share with your colleagues. Date/Time: May 1 from 11:30AM to 12:30PM Location: Virtual! Speakers: Moderator Scott Augenbaum (Retired FBI, Consultant, Speaker, Author) Panelists Don Baham - (President, Kraft Technology Group) Jacob Arthur - (Partner, Formos Consulting) Matt Dunn - (Associate Managing Director, Kroll Cyber Risk Practice) We look forward to seeing you! - Regards, Keith Jackson President president@isacanashville.org
