WiFi Dance with HTTP

A little bit about WiFi deployment as I’ve seen it evolve over the years.

In the beginning WiFi design was quite simple; install as FEW access points as possible and try to cover as much area as possible. This was because access points were expensive and not very devices were WiFi enabled.

Fast forward to the present where you can’t buy a laptop or netbook without WiFi and other devices such as tablets and smartphones only have WiFi.

Since the number of devices that connect to access points have increased, density issues became a issue as well as other design criteria such as QOS, mobility and centralized security that designers must contend with.

In this video I look into a wireless client complaint of performance and the odd disconnect using Wireshark.

Enjoy.
