Baselining 101: Copying a file to test performance

Wanted to share an article that I wrote along with a video explaining why and when copying a file is a good idea in relationship to performance.

One of the key points to take away is when i write "Don’t forget that you are only as fast as your slowest component."

Since the early 1990's I've been writing about 'tool calibration' and understanding the limits of your tools as well as your network.
